Participate in the Virtual Lucky Leprechaun 5K

St. Patrick’s Day 2021 probably isn’t what you envisioned or hoped for, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have some fun, and maybe even keep up an annual tradition. While you won’t be able to join a crowd of fellow athletes to run a shamrock-themed race this year, you can still complete the Virtual Lucky Leprechaun 5K on your own or with a couple of friends.

The organizers of this race decided to keep the tradition alive in a safe way by switching up the format for 2021. When you register for the 5K or the one-mile fun run ($25+), you’re not committing to a specific time, place, or running route. Rather, you’re committing to running your chosen distance at some point in the month of March. When you do, log your race time into the Virtual Lucky Leprechaun app, and you’ll be able to see how you stacked up against other runners! You’ll also receive the traditional trappings of a 5K in the mail, including a race bib and a runner’s medal.
