Since 1983 Lo's Restaurant has specialized in Szechuan and Hunan style culinary traditions and has built a large and loyal Fairfax customer base. One of the reasons that locals are dedicated to this particular Chinese restaurant is due to the eatery's emphasis on fresh ingredients; frozen and pre-made foods are avoided whenever possible.
Try starting your meal with the restaurant's famous crab rangoons, or opt for an order of mouth-puckering hot and sour soup. As far as main dishes go, Yelp reviewers especially praise the kung pao chicken and crispy shredded beef, as well as the unique honey banana dessert, which is brought to the table in a sizzling hot caramel sauce that quickly crystallizes into a hard shell with a tableside dip into an ice water bath.
Perhaps best of all, though, is the service at this eatery near Regent’s Park. The owners are often in the restaurant greeting customers, and the staff at this family-owned joint have mostly been working here for years, so they bring a deep knowledge of the menu and Szechuan food to their interactions with you.
