Do Your Part at the Earth Day Clean Up at Potomac Overlook Park

Earth Day is on April 22 this year, and this is a great time to do your part for conservation efforts both locally and worldwide. In addition to recycling your paper, glass and plastic, you can also do some good in the area around Regent’s Park by attending the Earth Day Clean Up at Potomac Overlook Park on Sunday, April 22.

The Earth Day Clean Up takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Potomac Overlook Regional Park. During the event, volunteers will help park staff to clear out invasive plants throughout the park, clean up the trails and do many other tasks that will improve the park’s condition in time for the spring season. If you want to attend, meet at the nature center at 10 a.m. and be sure to wear your some comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty!
